GOODBYE by Ava August

I wanted to capture the feeling of spending one final day with your lover or best friend, knowing it’s going to end due to life circumstances. I think there’s something extremely bittersweet about knowing a relationship is fleeting, and it makes you cherish every single moment you have with that person so much more. I added elements of Southern California (the 405 Freeway, the beach, etc.) to truly capture a quintessential West Coast love. Having just graduated high school, I have witnessed a lot people saying “goodbye” to the ones they love in order to move on to the next chapter in their lives. It feels surreal that the song is finally out. I hope you enjoy it as much I do, and I hope you can relate. Thank you for your endless support 🫶
