SHORT BIO
Ava August first sang the National Anthem at 8 years old and wrote her first song when she was 9. After this experience her passion for singing and songwriting was further ignited.
At the age of 12 years old Ava August was contacted by NBC’s The Voice to audition for the show. NBC reached out to her after coming across one of her singing videos. She is the youngest contestant in the history of the show making it to the blind auditions out of 130,000 applications and 50,000 auditions across the United States.
At 13, Ava August performed in Anaheim at Angels Stadium.
At 14, Ava August performed before a SOLD OUT audience of 30,000 fans at Staples Center in Downtown Los Angeles before a Los Angeles Kings professional hockey game. Ava August was recruited and booked to perform by the Los Angeles Dodgers and L.A. Galaxy, professional baseball and soccer teams, respectively, but COVID-19 pandemic forced cancellations of those bookings.
At 15, Ava August also became the youngest ever to perform and appear on American Idol season 19. Ava August received the GOLDEN TICKET during the Audition Round. And, then, advancing onto the Genre, Duet, Showstopper, Celebrity/ Solo, Top 16 and Top 10 Rounds. America voted Ava into the TOP 10 in the country. Ava August sang two originals on American Idol - Neighbor Boy and Ghost of You. Ava also sang an earthshattering duet with internationally acclaimed celebrity singer, Josh Groban.
Also at 15, Ava August released critically acclaimed single - Daybreak - which was accompanied by her first animated lyrical music video. On 11/01/20, Daybreak was played on KX 93.5 FM with Tropical Surf Hour. On 11/29/20, Daybreak was played on 88.5 FM LA/OC before 11M listeners in Southern California.
Also at 15, Ava August sang before sold out stadiums at Nashville Sounds, Los Angeles Dodgers, L.A. Galaxy, Los Angles Rams v Los Angles Chargers Season Opener at SOFI. Ava August sang at Staples for the Los Angeles Lakers first game of 2022 before the Minnesota Timber Wolves. Ava August was the youngest ever to sign with an international music management company, Red Light Management. She performed at NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants). Ava August released her second single LIVING ROOM to international acclaim.
At 17, Ava released her critically acclaimed international hit single MOVE ON. Ava August moderated and performed a state-wide California Leadership Summit compromised of enterprising and high achieving high school and college students.
She has published several original songs which are found on Spotify and Pandora as well as iTunes. Ava August sings weekly at local venues throughout Southern California.
